Suction on
Place it on the glass and switch it on. The vacuum motor pulls it flat against the pane and holds it there for the whole clean - not in pulses.
It maps the pane
Onboard edge sensors find the frame on all four sides, so the robot knows exactly how big the window is before it starts moving.
Spray, scrub, park
It mists fluid ahead of itself, scrubs with rotating pads, wipes dry behind, then returns to its starting point when the pane is finished.

We have three upstairs windows I could never reach without a ladder I hated using. Ran it from inside with the rope attached and they came up clear. That alone was worth it.
Sceptical about the suction until I saw it hold through a full pane. The route is methodical rather than random, which is what actually makes the finish even.
Does exactly what it says on flat glass. Our old leadlight windows are beyond it, which the listing did tell us. Shower screens are the surprise winner.

Everything people ask before buying
Will it fall off my window?
Not if you use the safety rope, which is included. The robot holds on with continuous vacuum suction, and two backup batteries keep that suction running even if mains power cuts out mid-clean. Anchor the rope to a fixed point indoors before you start on anything above ground floor - it takes ten seconds.
Do window cleaning robots actually work?
On flat, framed glass, yes. They deliver a streak-free finish on ordinary household dirt, provided the pads are clean when you start. Where they struggle is caked-on grime and small, oddly shaped panes. For a window that hasn't been touched in five years, give it a rough pass by hand first, then let the robot maintain it.
What glass does it work on?
Flat, framed glass: standard windows, sliding doors, glass balustrades, shower screens, mirrors, glass tabletops and shopfront windows. It is not suited to leadlight or heavily decorated glass, panes smaller than roughly 20 x 20 inches, or curved and textured glass. If your windows have glazing bars, it cleans each section individually.
Do I need the water spray model?
For exterior windows, yes - road dust and weather need fluid to shift them. For interior glass, mirrors and shower screens, the dry-clean model does the same job for the same price. Both are in stock.
Can I use it on high-rise apartment windows?
Yes, that is exactly the situation it is built for. Attach the safety rope to a fixed anchor inside the room, place the robot on the exterior glass through the opening window, and run it from inside. Never lean out to place it.
What cleaning fluid should I use?
Ordinary diluted glass cleaner, or just water for light dust. Don't use anything abrasive, oil-based or foaming.
Is it noisy?
It runs a vacuum motor, so it is audible - roughly the level of a kitchen extractor fan. That is the trade-off for the suction that keeps it on the glass.
